“ Better experience after a long hiatus from going back. Last time I remember the place was slightly run down, and my fave mackerel fish wasn't my favorite anymore. Tonight my friend and I were nearby after having had a great therapeutic massage (oh yes check out my review), I suggested to come here. The place has been updated, better flooring, updated decor and more customers on a drizzling Tuesday night. I was hungry and cold so decided to order Crunch California Gimbap ( crunch roll with cucumber, avocado, etc etc.) it was phenomenal, a 10. I ordered the ribs with clear broth and glass noodles. It came with shared veggies and a bowl of rice. It was a 5 of 5, could have been more if it was slightly seasoned (maybe a dash of black pepper and soy sauce that I could have added myself!) Service was wonderful. While I was waiting for my friend, I was asked if I needed anything; and then the occasional checking in. Service is friendly and polite. My friend stayed a few minutes beyond closing time but we weren't hastened out. We got the Asian yogurt to cleanse our palate as we were given our check. What an experience! Still my top Korean restaurant in Hampton Roads! ”
“ During my twins’ spring break, we planned a trip to Busch Gardens and Virginia Beach. Since we live in an area with very few Korean restaurants, I was really excited to explore some Korean food options near Virginia Beach — and I couldn’t have made a better choice! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious — from the tteokbokki, kimbap, and mandu to the jjamppong and galbitang. Each dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection, and my kids especially loved the food, which made me even happier. What truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredibly kind and attentive server. Thanks, the joy of our trip was doubled. Highly recommended — thank you so much for a wonderful meal and warm hospitality! ”
“ I absolutely loved this place! Hands down, some of the best Korean food I’ve ever had. The bibimbap was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My husband tried the ramen and really enjoyed it, too. The service was fast, and our waiter was super friendly and helpful when we were choosing what to order. “ This restaurant is open from 1130a- 230p for lunch then for dinner 5p-8p. The food was delicious We tried the Korean corn dogs with sugar and beef gimbap(I think).The entrees were delicious as well.We tried Japchae,Spicy pork bulgogi,kimchi jjigae and,Bibimbap ”
“ Was passing through and had a great stop at Hansang Korean Restaurant! I ordered the Kimbap and the Kimchi Jjigae (stew) and they were both amazing! The banchan (side dishes) tasted delicious and fresh. If you've ever wanted to try an authentic Korean restaurant that hits it on the nail, try out this place! I order the kimchi stew, but if spicy isn't for you, they have a WIDE variety of Korean foods from KBBQ to traditional Korean dishes. The food was great and the service was wonderful. If I'm in town ever again, I will absolutely come back. ”
“ This place has a wide selection of entrees that taste great! A large variety of Korean dishes that are common as well as uncommon. Friendly and professional staff and they usually have K-Pop playing. Hoping they'll someday add yangnyeom gejang to the menu. They no longer sell their home-made kimchi unfortunately. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended. Update 3/18/2023: Their selections are still great as ever. Protip: Even though they close most nights at 8pm, get there before 7:30pm or you risk being told that their kitchen is closed. They are not trying to stay open any later than they want to, especially with how busy they get on some evenings. Update 8/13/2024: They've now installed tablets at each table to make it easier to order and they have started serving kimchi again to-go, but cash only for that item. Still great food and service. Update 11/29/2024: They've started selling their homemade kimchi again, with a surcharge if you pay by card, so pay that with cash. ”
